📜 History
The Police Museum of Puducherry was initially established on 10th July 1992 in a modest heritage building. To better preserve the exhibits and improve public access, it was shifted to its current location within the Puducherry Police Headquarters on 30th June 2018.
It aims to bridge the connection between the public and the police force by narrating the journey of the law-keepers of Pondicherry — from colonial uniforms and revolvers to today’s advanced policing methods.
🛡️ Trivia: The armoury section is maintained by the CMT/PAP division, ensuring the preservation of historical weapons.
